The Australian Wildlife Conservancy is a new charitable organisation dedicated to the conservation of nature. It already holds substantial areas of land in Western Australia which are managed as private wildlife reserves and where practical conservation projects such as mammal reintroduction and recovery programmes are already in operation. It is privately funded and plans to launch a national fund-raising programme to ensure security of the properties and conservation projects for the long-term.
