Enzo Sirna
President, Italo-Australian Welfare and Cultural Centre
Enzo was born in Western Australia of Italian parents and completed all his schooling here. A graduate from the University of Western Australia, he worked at Penrhos College as the Head of Languages before becoming the Director of Studies, a position which he held for twelve years, from 1988 to 1999. In 2000 he accepted a position as the Senior Policy Advisor for the State Minister for Citizenship and Multicultural Interests, and in 2001 moved to the National Trust of Australia (WA) to manage the Luisini Winery Project and to bring a multicultural perspective to the Trust.
He is very involved in the Italian Community and is President of the Italo-Australian Welfare & Cultural Centre Inc. which is a peak charitable organisation within the community. He has been on many boards and committees, including the Western Australian Museum of Natural Sciences, the Western Australian Citizenship and Multicultural Council and the McCusker Foundation for Alzheimer's Disease Research.
He has been recognised for the quality of his contributions at many different levels and some of his awards and recognitions include:
