Bridget Newell was born in 1832 the daughter of Martin and Jane Lyons.
Bridget married Jeremiah Newell (also referred to as Nevell) on the 20th of October 1866 in Perth when she was 24 years old.
Bridget and Jeremiah had a son, Matthew James Newell, in 1867. They also had a daughter, Mary Jane Newell.
Jeremiah died in 1884 and Bridget never remarried. When Bridget died, she left her estate and personal belongings to Mary Jane, and her piece of land, (lot 61 of suburban lot 167 on Smith Street) to her son. She also left a considerable debt for her children to pay off.
Her real name is unsure, as different records. Bridget has also been recorded as Bridgid and the surname Wallace is actually Wallan on the Marriage Certificate, however it is the only record that refers to her as Wallan.
