They occupy the large crypt in the Presbyterian section. There are 8 members of the Monger family buried in the crypt. Family members
• Faversham House still stands proudly today, a monument and a reminder of the Monger family.

John Henry monger (Snr.)
• John Henry Monger (Snr.) was born in Faversham House in Kent, England in 1800. He sailed to Australia on board the ship Lotus in 1829, with his wife Mary. He was 29 years of age at the time.
• He and Mary had 3 children, John Henry (Jnr), Ernest Charles Monger and Joseph Taylor Monger.
• In 1836 he and his family left Perth and walked to York in hopes of settling there. They purchased a block of land and built a store and a hotel.
• They started in the Sandalwood trade, which was thriving at the time, and the family benefited greatly.
• In the mid to late 1840’s they built Faversham House, named after the birthplace of John Henry (Snr.).

John Henry (Jr.)
• John Henry was born in Western Australia on 25th January 1831. He was one of the first European babies born in WA.
• He would become a York merchant along with his younger brother, Joseph Taylor Monger, and a member of the Legislative council.
• When he was 25, he travelled back to England, where he met a girl named Henrietta Joaquina. He Married her on 21st July 1856 and travelled back to Western Australia with her.
• When he returned, he went back to being a York Merchant, competing against his Father and Brother . Later on he employed staff to manage his sandalwood business while he expanded further into the goldfields.
• In his lifetime he branched off into many trades. Some include: partnering with George Shenton in the Shipping trade, and moving into agriculture and pastoralism with Aubrey Brown and selecting over 100000 acres of land.
• In October 1870, John Henry Monger was elected to the Legislative Council and he held his position until his resignation in June 1875.
• John Henry Monger died on 23rd December 1892 aged 61.
