Text Box: The Ffarrington Children

Text Box: The Ffarington children include Frances E. Ffarrington, Emma Ffarrington, Maud Ffarrington, Arthur Ffarrington, Charles Ffarrington,  and Georgina Ffarrington. The first born of the Ffarrington children, Charles, died on the 14th November 1894. Charles had lived the longest life out of all of the six children, living to the age of 15 years. The second born child Frances E. died at the age of 14 months on the 19th of November 1883. she was the first of the children to pass away. The third child born was Emma she died on February the 1st 1886.Emma only lived for 19months she was one of the 4 girls born into the Ffarrington family. Maud was the third child to die. She died on the 22nd of June 1887, she was three weeks old. On the 5th of March 1890 Arthur was born. He was the 5th child. Arthur died in June of 1891, at the age of 17 months. Georgina  was the 6th child born to Mr. and Mrs. Ffarrington on March 20th 1895. She was one of the oldest children to die, she died at the age of 5. Georgina died in 1900. One must wonder about the cause of death for these children. Is it possible that S.I.D.S ( Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) was common at this time in the Swan River Colony?
