Jim McHugh

Jim has been with National Parks and Wildlife SA since 1979. This period being preceded by five years as a Regional Manager in what was then the Victorian National Parks Service.

For the first thirteen years of his time with NPWSA, Jim was involved in regional management being Regional Manager Central until 1990, followed by three years as Manager Regional Operations for the State.

In 1994 Jim undertook a two year secondment to Cabinet Office in 1994 to assist in the development of policies and strategies to respond to the Commonwealth Native Title Act. This involvement in native continued on his return to his home Department and expanded into other areas involving the agency's relationships with Aboriginal people.

More recently Jim has headed up the policy and planning section in National Parks and is now responsible for community partnerships
