Martin Copley
Martin grew up in England and spent a large part of his working life there, he nevertheless has strong roots in WA dating from 1880 when his grandfather settled in Perth. Martin now lives here permanently with his family.
Over the last ten years he has been deeply involved in his fight against fauna extinction and biodiversity loss. Starting in 1991 with Karakamia in the Perth Hills, as a small fenced area inspired by a visit to Warrawong. He now finds himself with a further four sanctuary projects, with the latest as far a field as the Kimberley.
This was never his original intention, but once started he couldn't stop. Fund for Wild Australia has been formed to bring all these projects together into a single not-for-profit organization.
