Western Australian Heritage Icons 2004: Connecting A CommunityWestern Australian Heritage Icons 2004 is an opportunity for Western Australians to identify things, places, and ideas typically and uniquely Western Australian. A Western Australian Heritage Icon could be physical environments, an object, innovation, attitude, an event or shared memory that connects us as individuals by the response it evokes. Collectively they will represent the key features of the State and our combined experiences, acknowledging the social fabric that binds us as a community, yet celebrating our diversity and distinctiveness. We invite you to nominate a Western Australian Heritage Icon. Things eligible for nomination include natural and built landscapes, phenomena, events, ceremonies, inventions, folklore and objects which are typically Western Australian. |
