Western Australian Heritage Icons 2004: Connecting A CommunityONLINE NOMINATIONAn Adobe PDF version of this form may also be downloaded. Western Australian Heritage Icons is a community project. It aims to seek out the connections that we, as the people of Western Australia, have a shared understanding - the physical and the intangible - the defining features of Western Australia that are recognisable and meaningful to individuals of all ages and walks of life. Collectively they represent the key features of the State and our combined experiences. We invite you to nominate things from everyday life or our recent past that have the potential to be a Western Australian Heritage Icon. After all, Western Australia’s story is told not just in books and monuments, but also in the shared remembrances and activities of all communities. Things eligible for nomination include natural and built landscapes, phenomena, events, ceremonies, inventions, folklore and objects, which are typically Western Australian. |
