Hail to a remarkable Chief – CY O’Connor Lecture 2008

Like many before him, Prof David Malcolm AC QC KCSJ fell victim to the fascination of the story of CY O’Connor. While he had intended to contrast the legacies resulting from two important boom times in Western Australia’s history – the Forrest/O’Connor years and the time of Sir Charles Court – he was captivated by the achievements of ‘The Chief’ focusing the whole of his presentation on O’Connor himself. Over 100 people registered for the event. Thanks go the Italo-Australia Welfare and Cultural Centre for the generous use of their venue and kind assistance on the night.
