Dongara Flour Mill

The Mill opened in 1894 and began operations as the Royal Steam Roller Flour Mill. The building is four storeys high, built of local limestone with brick quoins to corners and openings and roofed in corrugated iron.

By the 1970s the place was badly neglected and was in a ruinous condition.

The National Trust was vested the structure and slowly the building has been conserved and restored. Initially, the corrugated iron clad roof was reinstated and some areas of the limestone walling were conserved. A Conservation Management Plan was completed for the place in 1995.
