Woodbridge volunteers awarded grant

Woodbridge volunteers awarded grant

Council & Volunteers General Places

The grounds at Woodbridge at Mandoon will soon be even lovelier thanks to our Woodbridge grounds volunteers and Open Gardens WA (OGWA) 2024 Giving Program.

The Program offers funding support to Western Australian horticultural projects that encourage community engagement in gardening, horticultural education, garden design and ecological sustainability.

Earlier this year, organisations, community groups and associations were invited to apply for grants of up to $5,000 for initiatives that are connected to the environment, food, wellness and most importantly the community.

The Woodbridge grounds volunteers applied for and have received a $3,000 grant from OGWA.  The grant is for goods only, and OGWA will be supplying the volunteers with fertiliser, manure and rose bushes to be used at Woodbridge.

Congratulations to Theresa Putland, Volunteer Grounds Coordinator at Woodbridge and her team on receiving the grant and taking the initiative to apply. We can’t wait to see the results!
