Year 2 – The Past in the Present

Ellensbrook at Mokidup is a place where nature and cultures merge. Home of the Wadandi people for thousands of years this place provides insights into how people have lived in this isolated environment. Alfred And Ellen Bussell named their property Ellensbrook in 1857, local Wadandi people know this place as Mokidup.

Education programs at Ellensbrook are facilitated by school teachers with support from Caretakers, Volunteers and National Trust Education Officers where possible. Teachers are encouraged to utilise the grounds and the Cape-to Cape track to enrich students’ experience and learning beyond Ellensbrook.
