YEAR 2 – THE PAST IN THE PRESENT: TECHNOLOGY

The Year 2 curriculum extends exploration of the similarities between the past and present.  A visit to Samson House will stimulate students’ curiosity about the olden days and contribute to their appreciation of technological developments and what these changes have meant for our domestic lifestyles.  Comprehensive pre and post visit activity suggestions will further enhance and consolidate student learning.

Special event: Summer Holiday Fun at Samson House

This is a special opportunity for the whole family to experience Samson House at Walyalup outside of its normal open days.

Come and explore the home of one of the first European families to live in Fremantle. Where did the Samsons get their water? Why are there bells near the kitchen door? Find out the answers to these questions and more on a family friendly discovery trail around the more than 100-year-old house. There’ll be games to play in the garden and you’ll have the opportunity to make something special to take home with you.
