YEAR 1 – PRESENT AND PAST FAMILY LIFE
The Year 1 curriculum extends the concepts of continuity and change through the exploration of family life and examining ways that life has changed or remained the same over time; and how the present is similar to, or different from, the past. A visit to Woodbridge will stimulate students’ curiosity about the olden days and contribute to their development of their sequence of time.

YEAR 2 – THE PAST IN THE PRESENT: TECHNOLOGY
The Year 2 curriculum extends exploration of the similarities between the past and present. A visit to Woodbridge will stimulate students’ curiosity about the olden days and contribute to their appreciation of technological developments and what these changes have meant for our domestic lifestyles. Comprehensive pre and post visit activity suggestions will further enhance and consolidate student learning.

YEAR 3 – COMMUNITY AND REMEMBRANCE
The Year 3 curriculum provides opportunities for students to explore the historical features and diversity of their community as represented in the symbols and emblems of significance, and celebrations and commemorations, both locally and in other places around the world. Through letters, postcards and photographs students visiting Woodbridge will have gain an insight into the experiences of a family that lost two sons at Gallipoli during World War 1. Comprehensive pre and post visit activity suggestions will further enhance and consolidate student learning.
