A Will allows you to choose how your life’s work and your assets will benefit your loved ones and the causes you care about most.

Once you’ve considered who will benefit, which causes you’d like to remember and who your executor will be, you will feel more prepared to commence writing your Will.

    Each state and territory in Australia has an active National Trust organisation with its own ABN and business name. it is important to use the correct wording to ensure your donation is received correctly.

    The following general wording can be used as the basis for a gift to the National Trust in your Will.

    “I give to the National Trust of Australia (WA) ABN 83 697 381 616 (insert the details of your gift) and I direct that the receipt of the CEO of the National Trust of Australia (WA) will be sufficient discharge to my Executor/Trustee.”

    Suggested clauses to include a gift in your Will to the National Trust (WA):

    “I give to the National Trust of Australia (WA) the sum of $_______ (or stated fraction) to be used for its general purposes and the receipt of the Chief Executive Officer of that organisation will be sufficient discharge to my Executor/Trustee”

    • Specified

    “I give to the National Trust of Australia (WA) the sum of $______ (or stated fraction) to be used for the purposes of (name specific purpose, for example, conservation of a place or collection or support for an educational program) and the receipt of the Chief Executive Officer of that organisation will be sufficient discharge to my Executor/Trustee”
