Visit ANZAC Cottage on Wednesday 6 November
Explore this unique war memorial and learn the remarkable stories of community.
Both home and Gallipoli memorial, ANZAC Cottage on Whadjuk Nyoongar Country holds a special place for the local community and beyond. Known as the ‘house that was built in a day’, ANZAC Cottage was built by the community as a ‘practical memorial’ to the Gallipoli landing and as a home for a returned wounded soldier and his family.
ANZAC Cottage is open on the second Wednesday each month, including Wednesday 13 November, from 11am to 12.30pm by pre-booking.
All visits require advance booking of general admission tickets online. You will be welcomed upon entry by volunteers and will then have time to wander and take it all in.
General admission to the place helps us care for this special place and other heritage places that hold special stories of Western Australian history and heritage.
