Unwind and reconnect with nature with a stay in one of our short-stay accommodation cottages at Avondale Farm, Beverley.
Bring family and friends and experience the Avon Valley’s rolling agricultural landscape while enjoying a weekend disconnected from city life. Explore the local district during the day and come back to the peace and big open night skies at night.
Avondale is about 12kms west of the Wheatbelt town of Beverley and 22kms south-east of York.
There is plenty to do on-site from strolling through the various farm buildings in the historic settlement area to investigating changes in technology and local ingenuity in the Avondale Agricultural Museum.
There is a bush reserve to explore, accessible via the farm’s drive trail with impressive views across the Wheatbelt. Signage throughout the settlement and reserve gives you information about buildings, plants and other aspects of the history of the place.
There is a picnic area with barbecues and play equipment.
Please note: This is still a working farm and machinery is in use all year round.

A great place to stay an unwind close to Perth. We enjoyed the tranquil surrounds and the homey cottage.

We had a fantastic weekend away. The house was spotless and even in the middle of winter the house can stay warm. The guys at the museum on the property were able to inform and entertain our girls for over an hour. The hosts were extremely helpful in particular when our battery was flat. Thanks for a great stay.

We highly recommend Avondale Farm for a relaxing gateway. The cottage was comfortable and had everything our family of five needed for a couple of nights. Being situated on a historical farm was so interesting, the scenery beautiful and there was even a playground nearby. Not much wifi, which we loved, we played games and read when we weren’t out exploring the farm or nearby Beverley and York.

Beautiful heritage timber cottage with all the comforts of a modern house in a scenic area of the wheatbelt.

We loved our stay at Avondale farm. The 1920″s cottage is full of character and had everything we needed. The room heater and log fire kept us warm. We also brought a couple of fleece throws so we could sit out on the veranda with our wine and enjoy the view. There is an emu that visits everyday which provides entertainment. The 5km drive trail through the farm and bush walk are beautiful at this time of year. A nice break away from the city.

A beautiful location to explore, filled with history. It is still a working farm and therefore there is safety hazards to be aware of if taking young kids, which we expected. Our daughter absolutely loved it, the playground and the emu wandering up the Main Street. Highly recommended if you enjoy history, outdoors and exploring old settlements. It does get incredibly cold at night, so make sure to take warm clothes in winter.
